Kang Le Senior Association

Kang Le Senior Association is a volunteer organization dedicated to building a happy home for the community. The organization was established in May 2018 and is a non-profit mass organization composed of volunteers. We create a community where seniors can be productive, happy, and nurtured through voluntary work. The association provides various social, cultural, health, and support services to those in need, enabling them to better integrate into Canadian society and culture, thereby improving their mental and physical health and overall quality of life, bringing happiness and joy.

We host the following activities:

Interest Classes:
Senior interest classes are activities and courses designed specifically for seniors, aimed at providing fun and beneficial social and learning experiences. These classes typically cover a variety of topics to meet the interests and needs of different seniors. We offer a rich array of interest classes, including painting, pottery, embroidery, yoga, tai chi, musical instruments, choir, dance, calligraphy, writing, plant care, floral design, cooking, and healthy eating. Chinese seniors can improve their skills, enrich their personal artistic cultivation, and make like-minded friends by participating in these classes.

Health and Wellness:
Senior health and wellness is an important issue because as people age, their body’s needs and functions change. Tai Chi is an ancient traditional Chinese medicine method of health preservation that is particularly suitable for seniors. Chinese seniors can learn health preservation techniques by attending Tai Chi classes, regulate their mind and body, and enhance their physique. At the same time, we regularly invite doctors and professional healthcare workers to provide health consultations and guidance.

Community Activities:
There are many community organizations and institutions that hold various events, and Chinese seniors can actively participate. For example, there are photography clubs, senior art groups, and music learning classes in the community. By participating in these activities, Chinese seniors can showcase their talents, make like-minded friends, and interact with people from other groups.

Volunteer Activities:
Chinese seniors are a group of people with a wealth of experience and wisdom in the community, and they can contribute their experience and skills to society through volunteer activities. Various volunteer positions are provided, and Chinese seniors can choose positions that interest them. Through volunteer work, not only can they make contributions to society but also find meaningful activities to enrich their lives.

New Skills:
Chinese seniors can learn new skills by participating in various learning classes. For example, they can learn knitting, crocheting, cooking, and computer skills. Learning classes specifically set up for seniors allow Chinese seniors to choose courses that interest them. By learning new skills, not only can they enrich their lives but also keep their minds active and flexible.
